What is a calibratable plug-on current transformer (EASK)?
The EASK is the calibratable version of the plug-on current transformer intended for billing measurement. It covers a wide current range from 50 A to 3,000 A and is specifically designed for use in billing to third parties.
When an EASK is the right choice
The EASK is suitable when a calibratable current measurement is required for billing – for example, when recording consumption or feed-in quantities to third parties. For general operational measurement without a calibration requirement, the standard plug-on current transformer (ASK) is usually sufficient and more economical. Mounting and safety
The secondary circuit of a current transformer must never be operated open during operation – before disconnecting measuring devices in the secondary circuit, it must be short-circuited.
