What are three-phase current transformer sets (ASRD/ASKD/WSKD)?
Three-phase current transformer sets combine three individual current transformers – depending on the version based on tube/rod-type, plug-on or wound-type current transformers (ASRD/ASKD/WSKD) – into a common unit. This reduces wiring effort and space requirements compared to three separate individual transformers.
When three-phase current transformer sets are the right choice
Whenever all three outer conductors of a three-phase network are to be measured and mounting space or wiring effort play a role – for example in compact distribution panels. For measuring individual conductors, the corresponding individual transformers such as ASR, ASK or WSK are sufficient.
Technical features
- Primary current 3x50 A to 3x750 A
- Secondary current 1 A or 5 A
- Accuracy classes 0.5 and 1
- Round conductor bore 13.5 to 22 mm
- Low wiring effort, low space requirement
Mounting and safety
The secondary circuit of a current transformer must never be operated open during operation – before disconnecting measuring devices in the secondary circuit, it must be short-circuited. With three-phase sets, additionally ensure the correct assignment of the three phases to the respective secondary circuits.
Simple mounting, suitable for CU busbar / round conductor and in some cases for DIN rail
Scope of delivery
- Foot and rail mounting with insulating protective cap (touch-proof)
- Sealing plate available on request
- with integrated secondary sealing caps (exception: ASRD 14, ASRD 210.3, WSKD 31.8, ASKD 31.8)
