What is an NH current transformer?
NH current transformers are designed for use in the environment of NH fuse systems (low-voltage high-power fuses), as are common in fuse switch disconnectors and main distributions. The range includes the sizes NH 6.1, NH 6.2 and NH 6.3, each also in a more compact 2U version.
When an NH current transformer is the right choice
NH current transformers are suitable when current measurement is to be carried out directly in the area of an NH fuse arrangement. For measurements on freely accessible busbars or round conductors outside an NH system, the plug-on current transformer (ASK) is usually the more suitable, more flexible choice.
Technical features
- Sizes NH 6.1, NH 6.2, NH 6.3 (also as 2U variant)
- Primary current 100 A to 600 A, partly with dual range (e.g. 200/100 A)
- Secondary current 1 A or 5 A
- Accuracy class 3
- Power 1.25 VA to 10 VA
Mounting and safety
The secondary circuit of a current transformer must never be operated open during operation – before disconnecting measuring devices in the secondary circuit, it must be short-circuited. The mounting in the area of NH fuse systems should be carried out by qualified electrical specialists.
