Spacer Insulators – Reliable Spacers for Copper Busbars
Our spacer insulators of types DB, CPE and CO/P are specially designed for the safe installation of copper busbars. Manufactured from glass-fiber reinforced polyglass polyester compound, they are unbreakable and offer excellent electrical and mechanical properties.
Properties of the Spacer Insulators
- Material: Polyglass polyester compound, glass-fiber reinforced and dyed red.
- Self-extinguishing: Fire behavior according to class UL94-VO.
- Mechanically robust: Unbreakable, also loadable under high temperatures and vibrations.
- Operating temperature: -40°C to +130°C.
- Special features: Hexagonal center layer for easy adhesion and latching.
- Optional variants: Available on request with special threads or threaded bolts (“GB”).
Applications
The spacer insulators are ideal for use in electrical switchgear and distribution systems where safe distances between copper busbars must be maintained. They prove themselves even under difficult conditions, such as high temperatures, contact with corrosive substances or mechanical stress due to vibrations.
