What is a high-current transformer (ASKG)?
The high-current transformer (ASKG) is a plug-on design for particularly high primary currents from 3.000 A to 8.000 A, as they occur for example at large busbars in transformer stations or main distributions.
When a high-current transformer is the right choice
The ASKG is used where the regular plug-on current transformer (ASK) is no longer sufficient in terms of current. For the usual current range up to 8.000 A in the standard range, the ASK is usually the more obvious and economical choice – if you are unsure about the appropriate limit range, please feel free to contact us.

Mounting and safety
The secondary circuit of a current transformer must never be operated open during operation – before disconnecting measuring devices in the secondary circuit, it must be short-circuited.
