What is a calibratable three-phase wound-type current transformer set (EWSKD)?
The EWSKD is the calibratable version of a three-phase current transformer set based on wound-type current transformers for billing measurement – three transformers with fixed wired primary winding in a common unit.
When an EWSKD is the right choice
The EWSKD is suitable when all three outer conductors of a three-phase network are to be measured in a calibratable manner at lower currents. Without a calibration requirement, the standard three-phase current transformer sets are the more economical choice.
Technical features
- Three wound-type current transformers in one unit
- Calibratable accuracy classes
- Low wiring effort, low space requirement
Mounting and safety
The secondary circuit of a current transformer must never be operated open during operation – before disconnecting measuring devices in the secondary circuit, it must be short-circuited. With three-phase sets, additionally ensure the correct assignment of the three phases to the respective secondary circuits.
