Product information

The Sonel DIT-200 is a versatile pyrometer designed for professional use in industry, maintenance and electrical installation. Thanks to the robust housing, the well-thought-out one-handed operation and the round laser target display, the temperature can be measured precisely and safely – completely without contact.

Functions and Equipment

  • Non-contact temperature measurement with high accuracy
  • Digitally adjustable emissivity (0.10 – 1.00)
  • Round laser display for precise definition of the measuring point
  • Probe connection (type K) for contact-based measurements
  • Display of maximum, minimum, average and differential values
  • DATA HOLD – stores the last measured value
  • Switching between °C and °F
  • Limit value alarm on exceeding or falling below
  • Backlit display for better readability
  • Automatic switch-off to save battery power
  • IP54 protection against dust and splashing water

Technical Specifications

  • Measuring range: -50 °C to +1000 °C
  • With external type K sensor: up to +1370 °C
  • D:S ratio: 20:1 – ideal for precise measurements even from greater distances
  • Measurement resolution: 0.1 °C / 0.1 °F

Typical Applications

  • Temperature testing on transformers, busbars and contacts
  • Checking heating and cooling systems
  • Monitoring bearings and rollers in conveyor systems
  • Measurement in metallurgical processes
  • Service and maintenance in industrial and power plants

How does infrared measurement work?

The pyrometer measures the infrared energy radiated by an object. This is collected by the optical system, focused and converted by the sensor into a digital temperature value. The integrated laser facilitates aiming so that only the desired measuring area is captured.

What is emissivity?

Emissivity describes how much thermal radiation a material emits. It ranges between 0 (perfect reflection) and 1 (complete absorption). Different materials require a corresponding setting to deliver realistic measurement results.

D:S ratio – what does it mean?

The ratio between measuring distance and measuring spot size (distance to spot) determines how large the measured area is at a given distance. For the DIT-200 it is 20:1, which means: at a distance of 200 cm the device measures an area with a diameter of 10 cm. For smaller target objects a shorter distance is required to guarantee exact measurements.
